Ever thought about giving your jeans a second life? Students from Rochester University and the ArtEZ Fashion Masters Arnhem found a solution: make a tent out of it. Pretty handy for next festival season. Or fashionable camping.
An impression of what the students showcased last workshop.
Denim ReWorks – a collaboration between the ArtEZ Fashion Masters and UCA Rochester – examines ways of using denim after it got discarded. After a first workshop in Spring 2014 that led to different ideas for the usage of discarded denim, there has now been the second one to physically realize some of the concepts.
The results are on display in an exhibition at RAG London. While you can walk in during the whole week to see the process of making, there is also an official opening to present the finished ideas.
No matter when you come, one thing is for sure, the Denim ReWorks will definitely change the way of your thinking when you are about to discard one of your denim items in the future.
